NIMROD
By Phinneas Kiyomura
Directed by Mimi Collins
Union Theatre - London - September 2025
This is the first staged reading in UK of Phinneas Kiyomura’s play with Kirsten Vangsness reprising her acclaimed role as the titular Nimrod. Produced by Bespoke Plays London, NIMOD is the meeting place between Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar and The Simpson Movie. It explores the breakdown of language in this tendentious modern political age - this age of stupid lies, un-fake fake news, alternate facts. and real bone-chilling tragedy. NIMROD is a brute farce written in verse! that follows an imagined final. year of an uncouth, bloviating, orange-hued president’s administration from the point of view of the beleaguered First Lady.
